Roles and Responsibilites

  • A BIM Manager is responsible for the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and the Digital Construction procedures at the design, construction and handover stages of a project. 
  • A BIM Manager has a unique opportunity to have a wide and varied exposure to all elements of the construction process.
  • On a day to day basis a BIM Manager may work with Quantity Surveyors, Designers, Planners and Engineers to assist in the manipulation and extraction of information from data-rich models.
  • The BIM Manager’s role is to understand how BIM will effect project workflows and project management throughout the organisation.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing BIM workflow and communicates the benefits of BIM within and outside the firm.
  • Perform all essential functions and responsibilities in accordance with the Organisation's values and beliefs and in alignment with BIM policies.
  • Drive Standards, processes and procedures among the team.
  • Oversee Integration of BIM and Information Technology with cross disciplines.
  • Ensure project BIM execution plans adherence and success.
  • Take the lead in educating the entire team.
  • Troubleshoot issues.
  • Liaison with vendors, software developer support staff and other support channels


·      10+ years’ experience in design, production plus management in A/E/C industry.

·      Should have a sound knowledge of digital technologies.

·      Should have experience in managing the self and inter-discipline team and Organisation's           goals

·      Must understand the practice of project delivery, and construction methods.

·      Must be a self-starter and possess the drive to pursue continued education on BIM and         related technologies.

·      Passion for design technologies and skilled in the development of technologies and         practices to increase user effectiveness.

·      Extremely service oriented and highly approachable with commitment to helping others.

·      Good interpersonal skills and very comfortable and effective working with a team       environment.

·      Ability to maximize efficiency of the team and meet work goals .

·      Strong written and verbal communications skills.
